Can customers buy gift cards online?
Not yet. Gift cards are sold at the counter: your team takes the payment and records the card, and its link shows the amounts you offer.
Does the person who receives it need the app?
No. The link opens the card in the browser, with the code and the balance, and from there it can go into Apple Wallet.
Can a gift card expire?
Only if you set an expiry date for it. Without one, the balance stays until it is spent.
